TNT Power Tongs Ltd.

"Working with the best to achieve the best"

Safety Policy Statement

TNT Power Tongs Ltd. is committed to preventing the accidental loss of any of its resources. This includes, but is not limited to, employees, subcontractors, and any of its physical assets. This commitment is fulfilled by providing a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with industry standards and legislative requirements. TNT strives to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which may result in property damage, accidents or personal injury.

"Safety is the core principle of the Oil and Gas industry"

TNT Power Tongs believes that the responsibility for health and safety should be shared and all employees will be equally responsible for the minimization of accidents at the workplace. In ensuring this, we follow specific safe work procedures and enforce a very stringent zero tolerance Drug and Alcohol policy as part of our operational procedure. This has proven to be very effective for TNT Power Tongs has a "Zero Lost Time" record.

Employee Workplace Orientation

TNT has developed a very strict health and safety program and we are dedicated to continually updating and communicating our program to keep up with the demands of the Oil and Gas industry.

Workplace Training and Job Procedures

As new workers experience the highest rate of injuries within the first 6 months, TNT Power Tongs believes that orientation and all necessary training such as H2S, WHMIS and First Aid must be completed before entering the field. A record of all completed certification and orientation documents will be retained in each workers safety file. New workers must also review and acknowledge company policies and procedures. All employees that are new to our safety programs and work procedures are mentored by senior staff until deemed fully trained before being released to conduct work independently.

Drug and Alcohol Testing

We issue Drug and Alcohol testing for:

 • Pre- Employment

 • Site Pre-Access

 • Reasonable Suspicion

 • 30-day Mandatory

 • Post Incident Scenarios

Any operator who has a "non-negative" test is considered impaired and will be removed from all job procedures to face disciplinary action.

Environmental Impact

TNT Power Tongs understands the importance of environmental preservation. To minimise our ecological impact we try to maintain a clean and healthy worksite. We do this in part by keeping our equipment in optimum working condition to reduce emissions and recycling as much of our waste as possible. Continuous upgrades to equipment and procedures for the best possible outcome.
